About PourCraft
PourCraft is a tool for bar professionals: tell it what's behind the bar, what season it is, and what the drink is for, and it invents a completely original cocktail โ never a variation on an existing recipe โ with a spec sheet a bartender could actually put into service.
It's built for the person already behind the stick, not someone learning what a jigger is. Output assumes familiarity with bar terminology and technique โ dry shakes, expressing oils, single versus double straining โ and gives exact specs rather than home-kitchen explanations. The goal is a genuinely usable menu addition, not a novelty.
What You Can Control
- Ingredients on hand โ up to eight, used as the backbone of the recipe rather than a rigid ingredient list.
- Season โ spring, summer, autumn, or winter, shaping technique, garnish, and flavor direction.
- Craft technique โ fat washing, milk washing, oleo saccharum, smoking, rapid infusion, acid adjusting, carbonation, or saline enhancement, if you want the drink built around a specific method.
- Target color โ a color the finished drink should present in the glass, achieved through real ingredients rather than food dye.
- Serving size โ a single R&D sample, a 12-serving batch for a shift, or a 50-serving event build, with batching math and shelf-life notes scaled accordingly.
- Occasion โ happy hour, a tasting menu pairing, a holiday menu, brunch, late night, or a private event, which shapes strength, presentation, and pour cost thinking.
- Kitchen context โ tell it what the kitchen is currently serving and the food pairings get built around your actual menu, not generic suggestions.
Remixing
Once a drink is generated, it can be pushed in a direction โ smokier, sweeter, stronger, lighter, more bitter, more herbal โ while keeping its identity and name lineage intact. This is closer to how a bar team actually iterates a house cocktail than starting over from a blank prompt each time.
Zero-Proof Mode
A toggle removes alcohol from every ingredient in the build, useful for a genuinely thought-out zero-proof menu rather than a soda-and-juice afterthought.
What It Isn't
PourCraft doesn't replace a bar program's development process or a bartender's palate โ it's a fast way to get a genuinely original starting point on paper, with real technique and a real spec, that a human still tastes, adjusts, and approves before it goes on a menu.
